Colour results:

• The colour result is semi-permanent and the longevity can be influenced by many factors such as natural hair colour (if your hair has yellow tones it will effect the colour result), previous treatments, condition, porosity, length and thickness of hair

How do I achieve a vibrant colour on dark hair?

• You will need to pre-lighten your hair to very light blonde before applying this colour; we recommend using Smart Colour Total Blonde. To achieve colour tips or streaks, pre-lighten portions of hair and then apply Smart Colour Intense Red to only the pre-lightened areas. If your hair has not been pre-lightened, then the colouring process will only tint your natural hair colour and the result will not be as vibrant

How long is the development time?

• Approx. 40 minutes, you will need to perform a strand test for an accurate personal development time (see instructions)

How long will the colour last?

• Depending on your hair type and condition, the colour will last for 6-20 washes. Our semi-permanent colours are not designed to last a long time but you can help to make the colour last longer with Smart Beauty Colour Care Shampoo to help lock colour in for longer. If you want to refresh your colour simply re-apply the colour, or if you want to remove the colour; wash hair regularly with clarifying shampoo. We recommend Smart Beauty Pre-Colour Shampoo if you want to remove the colour

WARNING: If you have damaged or porous hair, there is a risk that the colour will stain.

What if I have thick or long hair?

• Two packs might be required if your hair is thick or longer than 20cm.

Will it damage my hair?

• This Smart Colour contains NO Ammonia or PPD and has a conditioning base, which leaves the hair soft and glossy with no risk of damage.

• Temporary "black henna" tattoos may increase your risk of allergy
• Do not colour your hair if:
  • You have a rash on your face or sensitive, irritated and damaged scalp
  • You have ever experienced any reaction after colouring your hair
  • You have experienced a reaction to a temporary "black henna" tattoo in the past

• Avoid contact with eyes. Rinse eyes immediately if product comes into contact with them
• Do not use to dye eyelashes or eyebrows
• Rinse hair well after application
• Wear suitable gloves
• Conduct an allergy test 48 hours each time before you colour (see instruction leaflet), even if you have already used colouring products before
• So remember to buy the product 48 hours in advance
• In case of any reaction or when in doubt consult a doctor before using any hair colour product
• Keep out of reach of children

PPD and Ammonia FREE

Para-phenylenediamine (PPD) is a chemical substance that is widely used as a permanent hair dye. Reaction caused by the use of hair dye in mild cases usually only involves dermatitis to the upper eyelids or the rims of the ears. In more severe cases, there may be marked reddening and swelling of the scalp and the face. Severe allergy to PPD can result in contact urticaria and rarely, anaphlaxsis

Ammonia is responsible for separating the cuticles, causing hardening, weight loss and reduction in hair thickness.
